Using the Connected Community Approach means moving beyond consultation to actively engage and support residents to influence what is happening in their community. One way to do this is to use community-led design. This article describes how one community in East Scarborough engaged professional architects and planners to authentically work with local youth to transform an old police station to a thriving community hub.
